Research, Reflections, and Challenges: John Shook’s Closing Keynote of 2016

By Lean Leaper

February 7, 2017

At the end of every Lean Transformation Summit, Lean Enterprise Institute Chairman and CEO John Shook gives his traditional closing keynote. He shares his observations and thoughts on the lean community plus learnings and advice to keep our lean efforts strong until the next Summit. Here's what he shared with us last year - has it helped you since?

At the end of every Lean Transformation Summit, Lean Enterprise Institute Chairman and CEO John Shook takes the stage for a closing keynote. His keynotes vary, but always include a recap of some of his favorite learnings from the previous two days, reflections on his observations at the Summit and the lean community at large, and where he sees the future of lean headed.

His keynote at last year’s 2016 Summit in Las Vegas, Nev. included all these and more, such as reflections on the biggest impediments to lean transformations, questions from attendees, and the differences between failure and success. Have you seen similar events happen in your organization since he gave this keynote? Give it a watch and let us know! (Watch to the end to hear a touching speech by John’s surprise guest.)

This year’s Lean Transformation Summit is just a month away, and John Shook’s keynote is shaping up to be one of his best. See the full line up of speakers, and register join us in person or streaming at lean.org/summits
